About Baddy Sonja Breidert

Baddý Sonja Breidert is the co-founder and CEO of 1xINTERNET, a leading full-service Drupal agency headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany.

Born and raised in Iceland, Baddý earned her B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Reykjavík in 2003. She later completed an M.Sc. in Engineering Management at the Technical University of Vienna. In 2008, she showcased her technical prowess by leading the TU Vienna robotics team to victory in the European Robotic Soccer Championship.

An active member of the Drupal community since 2013, Baddý has organized numerous Drupal conferences and events in both Iceland and Germany. She has served on the Drupal Association Board since 2018, including a term as Board Chair, contributing to the growth and support of the Drupal project and its global community. In recognition of her dedication, Baddý received the 2020 Aaron Winborn Award for her outstanding commitment to the Drupal community.

Before her involvement with Drupal, Baddý gained experience in venture capital, academia at Reykjavík University, and as a software developer at various companies. Her diverse background and leadership continue to drive innovation and collaboration within the open-source CMS landscape.
