UX Connect 26. Save the dates!
Thank you to everyone who joined us in Aarhus for our 4th annual conference for the design community!
“Meaningful design starts with empathy”
This is how the conference summary by Antonia Fedder starts using a quote from Natalia Bourges from Canyon Bicycles.
Anja Saabye from Universal Robots summarized her conference experience in a post that started like this:
”Inspiration is everywhere, but for me UX Connect is like a MAGIC BOX of inspiration”
Kristina Larsen Brink from VIA University College has also shared what she learned. Read her summary from day #1 and her summary from day #2.
Shiran Moser-Nielsen talked about how change is hard on conference day #1. Photo: Roar Paaske
The favorite quote according to Daria Sazanovich was:
“there’s nothing wrong with AI per se”.
Karla Santi from Blend joined us from Sioux Falls, South Dakota to learn together with “an inspiring group of people who are shaping the future of design”.
Hanna Hrynkevich joined her very first UX conference and posted about two days of provocative questions, engaging exercises, and honestly shared insights.
Aurika Damsgaard Pedersen from IBM shared on being a first time conference speaker and Johanna Halfmann from CoreMedia posted an informal summary from day #1.

What is UX Connect?
Industry luminary Rahel Bailie wrote this based on her experience at UX Connect 23: The effect of user experience on sustainability - a review of UX Connect
We started with UX Connect 22, which was quite well received and focused mostly on reducing carbon footprint, by creating low energy websites. At UX Connect 23, we looked broader at sustainability through the lens of the sustainable development goals.
“such an inspiring event which brought together many talented people” — Chris Cassens, Too Good To Go on LinkedIn after attending UX Connect 24
Last year at UX Connect 24 we managed to make it even better with input and participation from our global design leadership community and this year the focus on making design better. As the saying goes, a great design is not enough, and we want to bring designers together to help them make a bigger impact.
The sessions are without the usual sales and marketing pitches. There’s also plenty of time for conversations, so that you can bring actionable insights back to your desk and your projects. As design leader Antonia Fedder after her UX Connect 23 participation:

“The past two days were completely different. Open and intense conversation about processes, business, bias, sustainability and accountability characterised the conversation. Tools were shared, ideas developed and together we questioned it all.”
Who joined us?
It’s a truly international conference with participation from all over Europe and also North America
A friendly mix of product designers, user experience specialists and design leaders from organisations like Blend Interactive, Canyon Bicycles, CoreMedia, Ecreo, Energinet, GLS, Grundfos, IBM, LEGO, McKinsey, Royal Library of Denmark, Sustainable UX Network, Trifork, Universal Robots, Vertica, VIA University College and Zealand Academy.
Thanks to everyone who has made the commitment to learning and networking.

Venue
Once again, the event is held at Vertica on Åboulevarden 69, an iconic and historic building in the city centre of Aarhus, Denmark.
The building is from 1910 and originally built as a financial centre in what experts call a mixture of Dutch baroque and Danish classicism. Today it remains one of our most beautiful buildings and on the inside it is well restored and well-suited for networking and learning.
It’s just a few minutes walk from Aarhus Central Station and there are many hotels within 5 minutes walk. Aarhus is well connected with good train connections and nearby airports are Aarhus (AAR), Aalborg (AAL) and Billund (BLL).
